Frederick Joseph "Fred" Flintstone is a fictional character who originated in the animated sitcom The Flintstones. He is the husband of Wilma Flintstone and father of Pebbles Flintstone. His best friends are his next door neighbors, Barney and Betty Rubble, who have a son named Bamm-Bamm.

After a bump on the head, Fred Flintstone fell under the persuasion that he was a Mafia boss. He began speaking in a pseudo-Italian accent and behaving as though he were Marlon Brando.
Fortunately, Harvey was able to bring the real Fred back to himself by having Peanut hit Fred several times with a mallet until he finally believed he was Fred Flintstone and recognized Pebbles and Wilma.
